Our cowboy action shooting club meets monthly at the Capitol City Rifle & Pistol Club in Littlerock, Washington (just south of Olympia). We are family oriented, and guests are welcome. Please drop in and say howdy. Bring your family; bring your friends; bring your dogs; and by all means, bring your guns and your Old West spirit. We are all about fun, but safety is of paramount concern. All shooters and their guests are required to wear eye and ear protection.

  • We meet the fourth Saturday of each month, unless rare weather extremes prevent range access.

  • Set up for the match is Friday at 2 p.m. if you are free to lend a hand.

  • Check-in is from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Saturday. Match fees are $10. A mandatory safety meeting begins at 9:30 a.m., where standard safety issues are discussed, in addition to range specific rules. The match begins at 10 a.m.

  • We shoot six stages at each match, except for the annual Little Big Match, where we shoot 12 stages.

  • The Black River Regulators adhere to SASS guidelines.

  • We shoot through lunch, so please bring food and drinks with you.

  • There are no power hookups at the range.

  • Pets are welcome but must be on a leash or in a pen, and you must pick up after your pet.

The new 2010 Shooter's Handbook is out. Please read the changes highlighted in yellow.

Please come join us for the fun. We will make you feel like family. For those who have shot with us before, we are growing! Plans have been approved to expand the Action Pistol Range from three bays to six bays. We hope to have the work completed this year. Stay tuned.

You don't want to miss our Little Big Match. Shoot six fun-filled stages Saturday, followed by several optional Side Matches. Sunday has six more fun, challenging stages, followed by a Man-on-Man Shootout and the Award Ceremony. We'll see you there!
