The Black River Regulators has the distinct privilege of sponsoring the very first Cowboy Action Shooting event for the Washington State Senior Games. We had 26 avid shooters compete in the 2008 event, and we increased that number to 30 in 2009, even though enrollments were down overall due to the economy. In 2010 we increased the number to 39 shooters, and this year we had 41 seniors join us for the fun and beautiful weather.
With better promotion and word of mouth from you cowboys and cowgirls, we hope to keep increasing the number of participants each year.
Start making plans now to attend the 2012 Senior Games, on Sunday, following our regular Saturday match in July. Shooters said they had a blast this year, and we hope to make the event even bigger and better next year! Remember, you only have to be 50 years young to compete. We hope to see you there!
